• ADAPTATIONS: PLAYING FORMAT: 4v4. 
• NO GOALKEEPERS! Players "parking" in front of their goal will be told by the referee or Field Marshal to push up and out of the goal box.
• EQUIPMENT: Shin guards are required and must be covered entirely by socks. Baseball and football cleats are not allowed. A player must not use or wear anything that is dangerous to themselves or another player. 
•  BALL SIZE: Size 3 
•  GOAL KICKS: May be taken from any point on the end line. 
•  KICK-OFF: Kick offs are indirect kicks and may be taken in any direction. 
•  KICK-INS: The ball shall be kicked into play from the sideline instead of thrown in. Players may not dribble in bounds. 
•  FREE-KICKS: All free kicks shall be indirect. 
•  SUBSTITUTIONS: Substitutions may be made at any dead-ball situation, regardless of possession. Teams must get the referee’s attention and players are to enter and exit at mid-field. There are no substitutions on the 'fly'. 
•  COLOR CONFLICT: In cases where the referee deems there to be a color conflict the home team (listed first on the official schedule) will be responsible for changing their uniforms 
•  GAME DURATION: The game shall consist of two 15-minute halves separated by a two-minute break. 
•  HEADERS: When a player deliberately heads the ball in a game, an indirect free kick should be awarded to the opposing team from the spot of the offense. 
•  FIVE YARD RULE: In all dead-ball situations, defending players must stand at least five yards away from the ball. If the defensive player’s goal is closer than five yards, the ball shall be played five yards from the goal box in line with the direction of play prior to the penalty. 
•  INCLIMATE WEATHER: WMSL staff reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel games due to inclement weather. The League Director has the right to move or reschedule games, as well as the right to shorten game lengths. Every effort possible will be made to play the games. Scores will be considered final if a match is over halfway complete when the cancelation occurs. 
•  BUILD OUT LINE: For every goal kick, the other team has to go back to the half line of the field and allow the team with the ball to get the ball into play before attacking.  

No Pets are allowed at the WMSL Soccer Complex, NO EXCEPTIONS. If you bring a pet of any kind to the fields you will be asked to leave and may return without the pet. (Keep your pet safe by leaving them at home, not in your hot car.)

NO ALCOHOL on the facility grounds.  

NO SMOKING or VAPING near areas of play. If you need to smoke, please go to an area away from others. 

NO FOUL LANGUAGE. 

Please refrain from yelling at coaches, players, and parents.
